J&K Bank football team continued its unbeaten run in the ongoing annual football league as they defeated Iqbal Sports by 1-0 in premier division match at Synthetic Turf TRC ground here on Wednesday.
It was second match of the day in which both teams playedexceptionally well and the first half score turned out as goalless. J&KBank Players having a tough time to beat the defence line of Iqbal Sports. It wasin the 75th minute of the second half that Bank side was able to break thedeadlock. Despite their best efforts to score an equalizer, Iqbal Sports wereunable to score a goal and resultantly J&K Bank XI emerged winner by 1-0and stretched its winning streak further.
Earlier in the day super division match was played in whichYoung Iqbal defeated Hyderia Sports by 4-2 goals.
Meanwhile, three matches were played in senior and juniordivisions at Polo Ground.
In the first match Seven Star FC got a walkover against NFCPeerbagh while as in the second match Youth Development Academy, Allochibaghdefeated Tawheed FC by 2-1 goals. In the third match of the day, Kashmir UnitedFC defeated Islamic University FC by 1-0 goals.
The tournament is being organized by District FootballAssociation Srinagar.
