People’s Democratic Party (PDP) expressed grief and sorrowover the demise of veteran PDP leader and former minister Qazi Mohammad Afzalwho breathed his last on Friday at SKIMS Soura.
PDP president Mehboba Mufti, party patron Muzaffar HussainBeigh, vice-president Abdul Rahman Veeri, general secretary Ghulam Nabi LoneHanjura and all other senior party functionaries have condoled the demise ofQazi Afzal.
“He was farsighted, fearless and forthright and was among the most effective voices for the rights of the poor and marginalised.
The measures he took for the welfare of the people of Ganderbal are worth to hail and will be remembered for times to come,” party leadership said in a condolence message and prayed to Allah to grant him highest place in Jannah and patience to the bereaved family at this hour of great loss.
