Suspected militants shot dead a Special Police Officer at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday afternoon.
A police official said that suspected militants at around 2.30 pm opened fired on Kushboo, daughter of Manzoor Ahmad in Vehil village of the district.
She was grievously injured in the attack and was evacuated to district hospital Shopian where she succumbed, the official said.
