HC asks amicus curie to provide tentative plan for Wular visit

Srinagar, Nov 1: The High Court of J&K and Ladakh Wednesday asked the amicus curiae in the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on Wular Lake to provide a tentative visit plan to the lake to study the 33 villages that are part of it to facilitate his assessment for preparation of the report regarding the water body.
A division bench of Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh and Justice M A Chowdhary also referred to its order dated May 20, 2022, under which authorities were asked to take effective steps to ensure that the amicus curiae, Nadeem Qadri, can visit the area “subject to security arrangements as per the convenience of the authorities according to the prefixed date and time which should be informed to the amicus curiae well in advance”.
