Jammu, Nov 8: J&K government Wednesday constituted a committee for settling the issue of transfer of 234 kanals of land at Brick and Tiles Factory, Pampore from J&K Projects Construction Corporation Limited (JKPCC) to J&K Industries Limited (JKIL) and settlement of compensation on account of assets and liabilities of JKPCC.
As per GAD order, the committee will have Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Home department as its chairman while
Principal Secretary PW(R&B) department; Principal Secretary Finance department; Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce department; Secretary Revenue department; Administrative Secretary, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Managing Director, JKI Limited; Managing Director, J&K SICOP and Managing Director, JKPCC will be its members.
As per its Terms of References, the panel will record details of events under which the land has been transferred by JKI Limited to JKPCC and the circumstances which led to retrieval of land by JKI from JKPCC.
It will also recommend an amicable solution viz-a-viz transfer of possession of 234 kanals of land at Brick and Tiles Factory, Pampore from JKPCC to JKI Limited and measures required to be taken to finalize and settle the financial obligations of both the Corporations towards each other.
Besides the committee will recommend any other measure required to set the record straight in relation to assets and liabilities of both the Corporations. It will be serviced by the Industries and Commerce Department and shall submit report or recommendations within a period of one month.
