Bhaderwah, Nov 8: Continuing with the Prime Minister’s outreach programme to extend specialised health facilities in far-off areas, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu organised an oral health awareness-cum-dental checkup camp at Bhaderwah campus and PG colleges simultaneously.
A statement of IGGDC issued here said that the camp was organised in collaboration with Business School, Bhaderwah campus under the guidance of Principal and Dean IGGDC Jammu, Dr Rakesh Krishan Gupta and HoD Public Health Dentistry, Iqbal Singh to improve the oral hygiene in remote and far-flung areas.
District Development Council (DDC) Doda Chairman, Dhananter Singh Kotwal along with ADC Bhaderwah Dilmir Chowdhary inaugurated the camp at Lal Ded Auditorium.
Principal and Dean IGGDC Jammu, Rakesh Krishan Gupta said, “This camp is a part of PM’s outreach programme to extend specialised health facilities in far-off areas. Today more than 150 students besides faculty members were checked for oral health issues and were guided on proper oral hygiene practices. Through interactive sessions, students were made aware of the oral hygiene measures and prevention of oral diseases.”
