Army organises medical camp at Darhal

Rajouri, Feb 11: Army organised a medical camp for the people at Darhal in Rajouri District.

According to a press release, the medical camp was part of “Operation Sadbhavana.” In remote area challenges are further aggravated due to limited road connectivity, requiring residents to commute long distances to avail basic medical facilities, army said.

It added that a joint team of doctors and support staff from the army and civil health department including specialist practitioner provided medical care, consultation and counseling to the poor and under privileged residents of the border areas.

A total of 761 civilians from the village and other far flung adjoining areas visited to avail medical treatment provided during the camp, army said.

The efforts taken up by the army to organise the medical camp were appreciated by the populace, it said adding that such an endeavour by the army to reach out to the residents of remote areas will go a long way in developing and strengthening of trust between army and civil population, the press release said.
