Kupwara, Feb 20: Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Langate Izaz Ahmad Tuesday came under severe criticism due to his controversial remarks in a suspension order of a forest guard. The DFO had to expunge the remarks later.
The former attracted severe criticism by netizens for remarking about the attire of a forest guard and labelling him a shepherd.
Several activists condemned the language used in the suspension order. The DFO however while talking to Greater Kashmir said that he had no intention to cause hurt to any community or disregard any particular attire.
“Since I am part of the society so Pheran holds a unique place to me. I apologise to those who feel battered due to the words used unintentionally in the earlier order,” he said.
“The words that may have emotionally mortified or extended gloom to any one have been removed and a fresh order has been issued,” he added.
