Schools reopen in winter zone after vacation

Rajouri, Mar 1: The education institutions falling under the winter zone in Rajouri and Poonch districts reopened today after the winter vacation.

These education institutions are located in areas of cold climatic condition in twin districts Rajouri and Poonch  and were closed for winter vacations on December 11 last year.

   

Meanwhile on Friday, the regular class work in these education institutions started.

The class work in these institutions was resumed as per routine affair despite heavy rainfall and bad weather conditions that affected the normal life badly.

As per reports, most of the areas in twin districts started receiving rainfall on Friday afternoon .

Alongside it, the upper reaches in these twin districts are receiving light snowfall that started on Friday evening.

The people in upper reaches of the area have appealed Jammu and Kashmir Government to extend the winter vacations by atleast one week.

“Keeping in view the bad weather conditions as well as rainfall and snowfall, the winter vacations should be extended by at least five days to one week,” Mohammad Shahnawaz from Budhal Rajouri said.
