Kulgam, Mar 5: Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) in collaboration with District Administration and District Industries Centre Kulgam today organized a daylong seminar cum awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana at new conference hall of mini-secretariat, here.
The event was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan.
The event, aimed to educate and enlighten the participants about the benefits of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, was attended by Panchayat Secretaries and a large number of beneficiaries.
Besides, ADDC Bashir Ahmad Wani; AD MSME, Davindar Kumar; AD MSME, Rajesh Kumar; ACD, GM DIC and other officers were present at the event.
During the day-long programme, various experts and resource persons shared valuable insights on the scheme, its eligibility criteria, benefits and application process.
Queries and concerns raised by the participants were also cleared by providing them with a better understanding of how they can leverage the scheme for their personal and professional growth.
Addressing the occasion, DC underscored the significance of the Vishwakarma Yojana and emphasised to reach out to all eligible beneficiaries so they can avail benefits of the scheme.
It was shared that PM Vishwakarma scheme is a transformative initiative of GoI and will directly benefit thousands of artisans and craftspeople working with their hands and tools in 18 trades.
It was informed that the scheme offers a range of benefits including toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000, training to artisans, Rs 500 per day during training, collateral-free credit support up to Rs 1 lakh (first tranche) and Rs 2 lakh (second tranche) at a concessional interest rate of 5%, incentives for digital transactions and marketing support.
