Srinagar, Aug 10: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah has embarked on a seven-day tour of the Chenab region in Jammu Division.
The purpose of this tour is to engage with the party’s grassroots workers and ensure strong preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, a press release said.
“During this week-long tour, the party president will chair a series of meetings with the local party cadre, highlighting the party’s commitment to maintaining direct contact with ground-level workers and mobilizing them for the electoral battle ahead,” it added.
Accompanying Dr Farooq Abdullah on this visit are senior party functionaries including Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial Vice President Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy, Zone President Chenab Valley and former minister Sajjad Kitchloo, Vijay Lochan Chairman JKNC SC Cell, and District Presidents Tanvir Kitchloo (Kishtwar), Zaffarullah (Doda), Mehboob Iqbal (Bhadarwah), and Sajjad Saheen (Ramban).
Dr Farooq Abdullah will engage in in-depth discussions with the party cadre, providing guidance and emphasizing the importance of active participation at the grassroots level. These meetings will align the party’s goals and strategies with the aspirations of the people of the Chenab Valley.
