Rajouri, Dec 3: Panic gripped the residents of some areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts as they saw a mysterious flying object with several lights on Friday evening.
However, officials later said it was the movement of Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellite Train. Musk is an entrepreneur and business magnate. He is the founder, CEO and Chief Engineer at SpaceX. Starlink is the name of a satellite network that the private spaceflight company SpaceX has developed to provide low-cost internet to remote locations.
The people in Rajouri and Poonch claimed to have seen such an aerial object for the first time in their lives.
The Starlink Satellite Train moved in sky over Rajouri and Poonch and some other districts of Jammu between 6:40 pm to 6:50 pm on Friday evening.
” We were sitting infront of our home when we saw a long train of light in sky which was moving in low speed,” said Kushi Sharma, a Rajouri boy.
Officials within security setup said that soon after this lighting object was seen in sky an alert was issued as there always remain a risk of drone movement.
Meanwhile, senior officials of police and army later informed that the mysteriously flying aerial object was Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellite Train.
” If you go through many articles available on internet, it is Elon Musk starlink satellite train,” they said.
They further appealed people not to panic.
Additional Director General of Police in Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh that there are no mysterious lights but they are Starlink satellites.
