Locals have decried frequent traffic jams outside the Rainawari Hospital saying it can be detrimental for patients during emergency.
A delegation of locals said presence of vendors hampers smooth flow of vehicles as well as ambulances moving to and fro to the hospital. “The problem is compounded by narrow road near the hospital. Though authorities removed many structures to pave for road widening, but left out several structures despite compensation to them. This has defeated the purpose of road widening. These factors contribute to traffic jams on the vital stretch. We appeal the deputy commissioner Srinagar and SSP Traffic to look into the matter and redress the problem,” they said.
