20 years on, IIIM contractual workers await regularisation

The contractual workers of Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) J&K have demanded pay revision and regularisation of their services. 

In a statement here today, the aggrieved said they were working in the IIIM for almost 20 years in different capacities yet their services have not been regularized.

   

The institute comes under CSIR, Government of India. “We are being paid poorly. We are not even able to sustain our livelihood. The IIIM has not regularized our services till date nor has increased our salaries,” they said. 

Meanwhile, the contractual workers have appealed the state government to intervene in the issue and “talk to the authorities concerned in Delhi regarding our regularization and enhancement of our monthly salaries.”
