The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today accorded sanction to the appointment of Baseer Ahmad Khan, IAS, Division Commissioner Kashmir, as Advisor to Lt Governor.
The Advisor, according to an MHA communication, shall assistthe Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in”effective discharge of his functions”. The appointment will be effective fromthe date from which he assumes charge, an official handout said.
