Pulwama, Dec 10: The Director General (DG) Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today visited the under construction Apple Processing Unit at LassiporaPulwama to ascertain the status of work with respect to DPR and as per the guidelines of MIDH Scheme.
As per the statement, the visit was the outcome of discussions held during the last SLEC meeting under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Horticulture, Naveen Kumar Chowdhary.
Later, the DG took review of the Modified High Density Plantation scheme in the district. He also visited various sites where the orchards under the said scheme are being established.
The DG appreciated the work of the department and developers/entrepreneurs. He advised all the Officers and developers to speed up the pace of plantation and make all possible efforts to achieve the allocated targets for the current year.
