Srinagar, Aug 08: The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Srinagar organised a successful job fair on its campus, aimed at bridging the gap between job seekers and leading employers from various industries.
The event, which was inaugurated by Nisar Ahmad Wani, Director Employment, UT of Jammu and Kashmir, witnessed the registration of more than 800 job seekers.
The job fair proved to be an invaluable platform for both candidates and companies, with the participation of 17 companies from diverse sectors offering job roles related to Information Technology.
Welcoming the chief guest and other dignitaries, Ashaq Hussain Dar, Director-in-Charge of NIELIT J&K, highlighted the institute’s commitment to empowering the youth and facilitating their journey towards fulfilling careers. He emphasized the challenges faced by job seekers in the competitive job market and noted that the event provided a diverse range of opportunities for the gathered youth.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Nisar Ahmad Wani, Director Employment, UT of J&K, stressed the crucial role that events like the NIELIT Srinagar job fair play in empowering the region’s youth. He noted that such initiatives provide platforms for skill development, networking, and access to employment opportunities, contributing significantly to the area’s socio-economic growth.
The event concluded with Ajaz Ahmad Kumar, Placement Officer, and Fayaz Ahmad Malik, PTO, felicitating the participating employers with letters of appreciation and mementos.
