V-C JKTDC inspects tourist facilities in New Delhi

Vice-chairman J&K Tourism Development Corporation Rafi Ahmad Mir today inspected corporation’s various tourist facilities in New Delhi. He also held an interactive meeting with the stakeholders. 

Presiding over the meeting, Mir stressed on the need to focus on tapping foreign tourists visiting the country, a statement said.

   

He said most foreigners visiting India like to experience its traditions and customs. “Jammu and Kashmir is rich in traditions, art, cuisine and culture and has potential to attract them,” he said.

Terming J&K as a potential destination for all kinds of tourism, Mir said that JKTDC “is planning to enter in institutional coordination with state TDCs to tap domestic and foreign tourists.”

Mir informed that JKTDC would enter competitive market by means of a incentive based alliance and corporate partnerships with leading tourism players of the country and all state TDCs to showcase J&K’s tourism potential.
