Two people were injured in a mysterious blast in the outskirts of this south Kashmir district on Sunday.
A police official said, “Two people were fiddling with someexplosive device on a road at Chean Adigam village this afternoon. Theexplosive device went off, resulting in injuries to two people.”
He identified the injured as Sandeep Kumar son of SantoshKumar of Chhattisgarh and Sahil Ahmad Bhat son of Gowhar Ahmad Bhat of CheanAdigam.
Both were evacuated to nearest health facility wherefromthey have been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
“We have registered a case and are investigating thecircumstances which led to this blast,” a senior police officer said.
