The government today issued advisory for hotels in view of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) situation.
According to the advisory, the hoteliers have been asked tomake sure that the premises of hotel are clean and hygienic, and the surfacesare wiped with disinfectant regularly.
The advisory stresses on promoting regular and thoroughhand-washing by employees, employers and customers.
The hotels have been asked to put sanitising hand rubdispensers in prominent places around the workplace and ensure that thesedispensers are regularly refilled. The advisory calls for promotion of goodrespiratory hygiene in the hotel, an official handout said.
The advisory has asked the hoteliers to ensure that facemasks (surgical mask) and/or paper tissues are available at their hotels, forthose who develop a runny nose or cough at work, along with closed bins forhygienically disposing of them.
“Display moments of hand wash, steps of hand wash andrespiratory hygiene at reception through posters. Keep IEC/ FAQs for reference/displayed,” the advisory reads.
The advisory has also directed the hoteliers to keep thevisitors’ log book updated and record information in a set format separatelyfor all the guests.
Restrictions imposed in Shopian
Meanwhile, amid coronavirus scare, the districtadministration Shopian Saturday imposed section 144 CrPc prohibiting gatheringof more than five persons at public places with immediate effect for one month.In this regard, an order was issued by the District Magistrate Shopian undernumber 1513/DMS of 2010.
As per the orderrestriction/ban has been imposed over the assembly/gathering of more than 5persons at any public place “in entire Shopian district which includes Shopiantown and its adjoining areas with immediate effect for a period of onemonth”. People have been cautionedagainst violating the order. “Anyviolation of this order by any person shall invite action under IPC,” theorder reads.
