Rajouri, Dec 10: After a closure of five days, due to snowfall and slippery conditions, the Mughal Road connecting Poonch with Shopian district was restored for vehicular traffic on Friday, with movement of all kinds of vehicles being permitted on the road.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Rajouri Poonch range, Aftab Shah told Greater Kashmir that Mughal Road has been opened for movement of vehicles and all kinds of vehicles are now allowed to move.
“This road got closed on Sunday early morning due to snowfall which although was cleared on Tuesday but road could not be opened due to severe slippery conditions.” the DySP said. He said the road was inspected and slippery conditions have reduced to some extent while the decision for movement of vehicles was taken in view of the better road conditions.
