Searches after firing in north Kashmir’s Bandipora

Srinagar, June 16: A cordon and search operation (CASO) was launched in the Aragam area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday night, officials said.

Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V K Birdi told Greater Kashmir that a patrolling party of 13 RR after observing suspicious movement opened fire. “The area has been cordoned off and firing has stopped,” he said, adding that it is forest area. “We will carry out searches in the area.”

   

More reinforcements have been rushed to the area.
