Srinagar, June 7: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 16 new COVID-19 deaths and 977 cases in the last 24 hours.
As per the government data, 689 of the fresh cases were reported from Kashmir division and 288 in Jammu in the last 24 hours.
Of the 16 fresh fatalities, seven of them have been reported in Jammu division while 9 were reported in Kashmir taking the overall tally in J&K to 4,090.
The overall death toll comprises 2,102 in Kashmir and 1,988 in Jammu.
There are a total of 23,524 active cases in J&K,- 14,801 in Kashmir and 8,723 in Jammu.
A total of 4,178 COVID-19 patients recovered from the deadly disease today taking the total recoveries to 2,73,853.
