Bali inaugurates Rs 1.2 cr addl infra facilities in GMCJ

Stepping forward towards fulfilling the MCI requirements, Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat dedicated new 32-beddded recovery ward and facility of common room for doctors (boys & girls) in hospital canteen of Government Medical College here today.

Constructed at an estimated cost of rupees one crore, the recovery ward will facilitate the extra-ordinary rush of patients of Ortho, Surgery and Neurology units. Similarly, the common room facility has been developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 20 lakh. Both these facilities were requirements of MCI and the authorities have fulfilled these, an official handout said.

   

Minister of State for Health & Medical Education,  Asiea Naqash, MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister said that it is endeavour of the BJP-PDP Government to ensure better infrastructural facilities in the health institutions across the State, adding that majority of population in Jammu and Kashmir is dependent on the government health sector and efforts have been stepped up to improve the overall health scenario.
