APSCC to contest assembly elections from three seats in J&K

Srinagar, Aug 26: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) on Monday decided to contest Assembly elections from three seats of Kashmir valley.

The committee has decided to field S Pushvinder Singh from Tral in Pulwama district while as the candidates from central Kashmir’s Shaltend and Baramulla will be announced later on.

   

In a statement issued, the APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said that the committee is banking on the support of majority community for the success of the candidates from the seats where they are contesting elections. He appealed the members of majority community to come forward and support the members of Sikh community.

Raina said that support from members of majority community will ensure victory of community members. He said it will send a positive message from Kashmir and it will change the narrative that Kashmiris pursue separatism and are anti-national.
