Jammu, Mar 17: Jammu police stated to have detained a notorious gangster, wanted in many criminal cases, under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
A police spokesperson said, “Continuing its crackdown on organised crime and wanted criminals, a team of Police Station Gangyal, as per the directions of SSP Jammu, executed the PSA warrant of wanted criminal Vikramjeet Singh alias Vikky and lodged him in prison on March 16, 2024.”
The police team was led by SHO Gangyal Harmohindar Singh and PSI Aaquib Lateef.
“Vikramjeet had 15 FIRs registered against him in various police stations and had multiple warrants out for his arrest,” the police spokesperson said, adding that his detention marked “another step in improving law and order in Jammu district.”
