SKUAST-Jammu scientist wins best research paper award at 5th Int’l Agronomy Congress

Srinagar Dec 1: Senior scientist at the Sheri Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu, Dr Rohit Sharma has won the best research paper award at the 5th International Agronomy Congress on ‘Agri-Innovations to Combat Food and Nutrition Challenges’.

As per an official handout by the SKUAST Jammu, the international conference was organized by the prestigious Indian Society of Agronomy New Delhi in collaboration with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) , Hyderabad and Indian Council of Agriculture Research New Delhi at PJTSAU, Hyderabad from November 23-27.

   

The conference was organized in hybrid mode and attended by more than 1400 scientists from across the globe, the handout said.

The award was presented to Dr Rohit Sharma by Dr Ashok Dalwai, CEO, National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA), Government of India along with Dr V Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor PJTSAU and President ISA in presence of other eminent scientists for his research paper entitled ‘Role of various organic sources of nutrients on growth and yield of Bushy Rajmash under high hills (Bhaderwah) of Jammu’.

The paper was presented by Dr Sharma under the thematic area of ‘Perspective in Organic Agriculture’ and discussed in detail about the organic nutrient management strategies in high hills of Jammu.
