Special security plan formulated for counting day in Rajouri

Rajouri, Oct 6: A special security plan involving the Jammu and Kashmir police as well as Central Paramilitary Forces has been formulated and will be implemented on the day of counting in Rajouri. This was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri, Randeep Kumar.

He mentioned that, for the counting of votes on October 8, all counting centers have been established in Rajouri, for which elaborate security arrangements are being put in place. “We will place CI QRTs at locations as per our plan, in addition to deploying necessary teams specified for various tasks such as checking, frisking, traffic regulation, and law and order duties,” the SSP said.

   

Regarding traffic regulation, SSP Rajouri added that a pedestrian zone will be established within a one hundred-meter radius around the counting centers, where no vehicle movement will be allowed. The officer also stated that only authorized individuals will be permitted to approach the counting centers, and stop points will be established at all entry and exit routes of Rajouri town to regulate unnecessary movement of people.
