Srinagar, Nov 5: Two persons were killed while another was injured in a shootout on the outskirts of Jammu city on Friday. Police has started investigation into the matter to ascertain the facts.
Quoting the officials, news agency KNO reported that on Friday morning, an incident of shootout took place in a village of RS Pura Sub Division of Jammu.
It is being suspected that a few men travelling in a vehicle opened indiscriminate firing on some persons travelling in another car, said a police official adding that two youth have been killed in the incident while another has sustained injuries and is under treatment in a hospital in critical condition.
One SUV, some sharp edged weapons and some hockey sticks have been seized from the spot, an official said, adding that a high level probe is going on into the matter.
