2 brothers stabbed in Chadoora after scuffle

Police have arrested two youth in Chadoora area of Budgam district, who stabbed two brothers following an argument over “some issue”. 

Both the victims were rushed to SKIMS hospital in critical condition while the two accused have been arrested for attempt to murder.

Station House Officer ChadooraRoufBazaz said one of the brothers had an argument with the accused at Chadoora and during scuffle the accused, one each from Gopalpora and Wathoora, stabbed the boy.

Bazaz said the injured boy’s brother who was attending tuition classes at nearby coaching center came out after hearing about brother’s condition.  “He too was stabbed by the accused following scuffle,” said the SHO.

“We have arrested both the accused and registered a case under section 307 of RPC (attempt to murder),” said the SHO.

Asked what had led to scuffle, the SHO said the two accused are from outside Chadoora. “One of the injured boys had objected to their visits to the area which led to the incident,” said the SHO.

He said while one of the brothers was stabbed in back the other was stabbed in chest.

A doctor at SKIMS said one of the injured had minor injury and was give first aid treatment and discharged. “The other one had injuries in chest which had led to accumulation of blood. We have put a tube in his chest for removal of blood. He is stable,” said the doctor.
