3 shopkeepers held for defying prohibitory orders

Acting tough against the violators of Government prohibitory orders, Police arrested three shopkeepers for defying restriction orders imposed by government in Srinagar and Ganderbal.

In a statement, police spokesperson said ‘in Srinagar, Policearrested two shopkeepers for defying Government orders in Soura. Accordingly,cases vide FIR numbers 31/2020 and 32/2020 under relevant sections of law havebeen registered at Police Station Soura and further investigation into thecases have been initiated.”

   

It said in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kheer Bhawani,a shopkeeper was held for violating the Govt prohibitory orders issued underu/s 144 CrPC. “Accordingly, case FIR No.11/2020 under relevant sections oflaw has been registered in Police Station Kheer Bhawani and furtherinvestigation has been initiated,” it said.

“Police once again requests the general public tofollow the restrictions imposed by Government in order to prevent the spread ofCovid-19 and those who are violating the restriction orders will be dealtstrictly,” the statement said.
