Srinagar, June 1: Authorities at the Srinagar airport Monday said that almost 95 percent of its employees had been vaccinated against COVID-19 so far.
A spokesperson of the airport while taking to Twitter this afternoon said the 95 % vaccination of the staff had been carried out through nine vaccination camps held for the purpose.
The spokesperson further said that RT-PCR testing was being done at the airport free if cost in order to ensure safety of passengers.
As per the spokesperson, a cargo of seven oxygen generation plants of 7,125 Litres Per Minute (LPM) capacity, airlifted from Frankfurt, Germany, have been delivered at the airport.
“The airport successfully held nine vaccination camps, through which almost 95% of airport employees have been vaccinated. A cargo of seven Oxygen Generator Plants of 7,125 Litres Per Minute (LPM) capacity, airlifted from Frankfurt, Germany, has been delivered at Srinagar airport, ” the Srinagar airport spokesperson wrote in a tweet.
“Srinagar Airport ensures the safety of flyers by conducting RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen Test, free of cost as per the state Covid protocols. The staff also makes sincere efforts to ensure that the passengers follow #COVID19 appropriate behaviour for safer travel experiences, ” added the spokesperson .
