Agri graduates, PGs demand withdrawal of SRO 442

The agriculture graduates and PGs of SKUAST-K and SKUAST-J have jointly today demanded withdrawal of SRO-442 envisaging filling of JAEO posts on 100% promotional basis. The aggrieved said the SRO has rendered them ineligible to get directly recruited in the department.

“We appeal the authorities and the minister for agriculture to look into the issue,” the aggrieved in a statement said.

They also urged the government to release selection list of the written examination in which they had appeared.

“The two agriculture universities are producing 100 PG scholars per year. The agriculture graduates and PGs are being pushed to the wall by depriving them their jobs since 2005. Moreover, the recruitment of AEOs and JAEOs has also been in limbo for more than a decade,” they said.
