BJP activist’s PSO goes missing with two weapons in Kupwara

Srinagar, Dec 13: A Personal Security Officer (PSO) of a BJP activist and his ‘associate’ have gone missing along with two weapons last night in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said on Monday.

Quoting official sources, news agency GNS reported that Saqib Ahmad Tantry (SPO) son of Sanaullah Tantry of Bohipora, deployed as PSO with BJP activist Abdul Rashid Zargar fled with two weapons from PWD building at Salkoot where Zargar is presently putting up.

Saqib’s “associate”, Arif Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad Mir, also a resident of Bohipora Kupwara, is also missing, sources said.

A senior police of the district told GNS that efforts are underway to trace out the duo.

Originally a resident of Lolab, Abdul Rashid Zargar is presently staying along with other protected persons at the PWD building in Salkoot.
