Burglary case solved in Kulgam, six arrested: J&K Police

Srinagar, March 14: Police in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district have solved a burglary case and arrested six accused persons involved in the commission of crime, officials said today.

Police Station Kulgam received complaint regarding burglary and accordingly a case vide FIR No. 21/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated, said a spokesman.

   

During the course of investigation, six suspected persons were zeroed in on who later on confessed their involvement in the commission of crime, he said.

They have been identified as Reyaz Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Rashid Lone resident of Boh DH Pora, Mohd Amin Wani son of Mohd Afzal Wani resident of DK Marag, Mohd Amin Malik son of Mohd Jamal Malik resident of DK Marag, Mohd Ishaq Malik son of Asadullah Malik resident of Lalpur DK Marag, Mohd Aslam Bargath son of Mohd Qasim Bargath resident of Rajouri and Nazir Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Gani Lone resident of Suilkhenan DK Marag. Subsequently, all the six accused persons were arrested and shifted to Police Station Kulgam where they remain in custody.

On their disclosure, stolen property including four stolen Animals were recovered. Besides, vehicle (Tata Bolero) bearing registration number JK19A-1662 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

Further investigation of the case is in progress as more arrests and recoveries are expected, added the official.
