DHSK felicitates two female COVID-19 warriors

Srinagar, June 7: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather Monday felicitated two COVID-19 warriors, both females, for their extraordinary and dedicated work during the prevailing pandemic.

A spokesperson of Director Health Services Kashmir, said Babli Rani, a government teacher and Tabasum Ara, a female multiple purpose worker (FMPHW) were felicitated for their services.

   

The spokesman said Babli Rani was deputed on COVID-19 duty last year.

Originally hailing from Jammu, she is posted at Wakura area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, the spokesperson said.

As per the spokesman, news about her performance was aired on national as well as local media.

Similarly, Tabasum Ara, working as FMPHW in district hospital Pulwama, has been administering COVID-19 vaccination and has been a part of the surveillance team.

As per the spokesperson, Ara has done more than 7,000 vaccinations and has been going to far off places doing the surveillance work.

“She did not take even a single break. Her work has been appreciated by all including the top government officials,” the spokesman said adding Ara is an inspiration for health care workers.

Both the Covid warriors were hailed and appreciated by Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather in his office chamber at Bemina Srinagar.

The director in his message asked health care workers to continue their work with zeal and zest adding those doing good work would be appreciated in the due course of time.
