Srinagar June 20: A gunfight broke out Sunday night between militants and security forces at Gund Brath area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said.
A police spokesperson tweeted that police and security forces have cordoned off the area.
The number of trapped militants and their affiliation were not immediately known.
“Encounter has started at Gund Brath area of Sopore. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow, ” the spokesperson wrote in a tweet.
