Srinagar, Dec 8: A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces at Check Cholan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday morning.
“Encounter has started at Check Cholan area of #Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” a police spokesman tweeted.
Reports said that two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
