Several areas of north Kashmir’s Sopore on Monday witnessedheavy rains and hailstorm causing extensive damage to crops, apple orchards andvegetable fields, locals said.
They said that areas like Zaingair, Warpora, Dangarpora,Janwara, Dooru and other surrounding areas witnessed heavy rains and hailstormat around 8:30 today morning thereby resulting in tremendous loss to farmersand fruit growers in the area.
Pertinently, this is third time that hailstorm has hit parts ofnorth Kashmir since last one month.
