Srinagar Dec 8: An unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing gunfight with security forces in Check Cholan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

“ShopianEncounterUpdate: 01 unidentified #terrorist killed. #Operation going on. Further details shall follow, ” a police spokesman said.
The encounter started in the early hours today shortly after security forces cordoned off the area following a tip off about the presence of militants there.
