Jamiat-e-Hamdaniya chairman Mirwaiz Molvi Riyaz Ahmad Hamdani today expressed serious concern over the summoning of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Naseem Geelani to Delhi by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), terming it highly condemnable.
“If at all NIA wants to ask them questions regardinganything, they can summon them to NIA office here only. There seems to be nojustification to summon them to Delhi where there is currently hostileatmosphere for all Kashmiris in general, and political and religious leaders inparticular,” Mirwaiz Hamdani said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Hamdani condemned the terror attack ontwin mosques in New Zealand in which at least 49 Muslims were martyred andseveral others injured.
Mirwaiz Hamdani expressed solidarity with the bereavedfamilies. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
