“My son was murdered to stop me from supporting Kashmir movement,” said Muhammad Maqbool Sofi the father of Arif Ahmad Sofi who was killed by unidentified gunmen in Sopore area on Wednesday evening.
“I have been closely associated with separatist organization Jammu Kashmir People’s League. I have spent over seven years in jail for supporting the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement. I can’t blame anyone, but my son has been murdered to suppress my sentiments and stop me from supporting the ongoing freedom struggle,” Maqbool told local news agency CNS.
