National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah and other party leaders, including Salman Sagar, Shamima Firdous and Saif-ullah Mir visited the residence of the senior NC leader Mian Altaf on Monday to condole the demise of his elder daughter, Benazir Altaf, who passed away on Friday.
Peoples Democratic Party leaders, Khalil Bandh , ZahoorAhmad Mir, Dilawar Mir, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Monga, Peoples Conferencevice-president Abdul Gani Vakil, president of Democratic Party (N), GhulamHassan Mir and president of Peoples Democratic Front Hakeem Yaseen, a senior leader of HurriyatConference (M), Saleem Geelani, renownedbusinessmen, Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya andothers also visited the residence of senior NC leader and expressed solidaritywith the bereaved family.
Jamiat e Hamadania chief Mirwaiz Riyaz Hamadani alsoconveyed his condolences to Mian Altaf and prayed for peace to the departedsoul.
Late Benazir’s Chahrum would be observed on 23 April(Tuesday).
