Patiala Stabbing|J&K Students Association thanks Punjab CM, his advisor for intervention

The J&K Students Association (JKSA) Wednesday expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh and his advisor RaveenThukral for their immediate intervention in ‘Patiala stabbing’ incident.

In a statement issued here, JKSA spokesman said a Kashmir teenager Danish Ahmad who worked as a catering boy in Patiala city of Punjab was injured after he was attacked by some inebriated men. He said that the incident took place when Danish and his friends went to a saloon for a haircut.

   

“When Danish and his friends left the shop, they were followed by a trio. One of them stabbed Danish in the belly with a scissor injuring his liver. He is currently under medical supervision in the ICU of Rajendra Hospital in Patiala and has undergone two surgeries since admission,” the JKSA spokesman said in the statement.

It said that following the incident, JKSA took up the matter with Advisor to Pubnaj CM, RaveenThukral and urged him to get the culprits arrested at the earliest.

The JKSA spokesman said that the accused were arrested with the immediate intervention of Punjab CM and Police.

“The CM’s Advisor has assured us that there is no pressure of any sorts on them and that the accused has been booked and arrested under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and that the matter was being dealt as the per the law,” he said in the statement.

The JKSA spokesman said that the patient was off the ventilator now.

He said the Punjab CM’s Advisor had ensured them that action would be taken against those found intimidating students or labourers from Kashmir.
