Redress issues of Beerwah, Omar Abdullah urges Govt

National Conference Vice-President, Omar Abdullah, Wednesday urged the government to redress the issues of the people of Beerwah constituency.

Abdullah, during an interaction with District DevelopmentCommissioner, Budgam, SehrishAsgar, raised a range of issues concerning Beerwahconstituency.

The NC Vice-President informed the DDC about thenonexistence of proper electricity schedule in the constituency. “The studentcommunity is at the receiving end due to erratic power supply in the area,” hesaid.

He also raised the issue of dilapidated roads in theconstituency and asked the DDC to augment the pace of road repairs. “The paceof works on outstanding road projects in the area, including Khag-Ari Panth andBeerwah-Magam-Budgam road linkages should be increased,” he urged.

Besides other issues, Abdullah also took up the nonexistenceof proper medical facilities and staff in the area. Prof Abdul MajeedMatoo, TanvirSadiq and DrMuhammad Shafi accompanied Abdullah during the meet.
