Srinagar, Nov 7: Dr Fayaz A Shah, a professor of Botany, passed away at Govt Medical College (GMC) Anantnag on Tuesday.
Dr Shah had been ailing and was on dialysis for the past few months.
His death has sent shockwaves in Ashmuqam and surrounding areas, evoking condolences from all walks of life.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was attended by a large number of people.
According to Dr Shah’s family, the Fateh Khawani would be observed on Friday at his ancestral graveyard, Ziarat Sharief Ashmuqam, and also at his Iram Colony residence in Ashmuqam.
