Srinagar, Oct 1: The executive committee meeting of the Society of Indian Radiographers was held today at NIMHANS, Bengaluru, to discuss various issues and organise a national conference likely to be held in Andaman (Port Blair) by the end of this year.
Delegates from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir comprised four members, headed by Vice President Central Rouf Ahmad Laigroo, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, President of the SIR Kashmir Chapter, Javid Rasool Shawl, Joint Secretary of SIR India, and Javid Sultan, General Secretary of the SIR Kashmir Chapter.
The wealth of experience and dedication of these members was acknowledged by all present at the event.
After thorough discussions among all members, it was unanimously decided that Mohammed Sultan Najar was proposed by the Kashmir Chapter delegates as Vice Chairman. This proposal was later agreed upon by all executive committee members, resulting in Mohammed Sultan Najar’s elevation to the position of Vice Chairman.
The SIR Kashmir Chapter announces that in November 2024, it will organise World Radiography Day and requests all radiographers in the Kashmir Valley to register for World Radiography Day as soon as possible.
