The School Education Department has announced winter vacations for all schools from Tuesday, December 10.
As per government order number 373-edu of 2019, the schoolsfrom primary to higher secondary level will re-open after winter vacations onFebruary 24, 2020.
The vacation has been announced in view of the foggyconditions and prevailing cold weather in Kashmir.
“In view of foggy conditions and forecast of further dip intemperature along with rainfall and snowfall, it is hereby ordered that allgovernment and recognized private schools up to class 12th in Kashmir divisionand schools falling in winter zones of Jammu division shall observe wintervacation from December 10 of 2019 to February 22,” reads the government order.
