In a first, the police on Monday arrested a woman allegedly on charges of peddling charas in Kupwara.
The police said they recovered 700 grams of charas from the woman who was arrested during frisking of vehicles at Drugmulla, about 5km from Kupwara town.
The police have booked her under the NDPS Act and started investigations.
