Trekking group stranded in bad weather rescued in Ladakh: Police

Srinagar, July 11: A group of trekkers, stranded in bad weather, was rescued by police in Zanskar on Monday, officials said 

In a series of tweets, ADGP Ladakh said: “Trekking group after being stranded in bad weather were rescued by police party of Zanskar Police Station from Tsarak Dho near Zangla village & reached Padum safely”.

The police also urged people to be aware of weather conditions before planning a trip. 

“Call to action:If you are planning a trekking trip, please be aware of the weather conditions and plan accordingly. You can also contact nearest Ladakh Police – Police Stations or Police Posts for more information or dial ERSS 112,” it said.
